For those wanting to learn the fun and beautiful art of Aerial Yoga I would highly recommend this book and her second book. The pictures are stunning and her instruction is spot on.

Great intro book!

Awesome! This book has a good number of helpful pictures to get any novice or expert into and out of the poses. While the author assumes some familiarity with yoga (and less familiarity with the aerial arts), the pictures and explanatory text make this extremely easy to follow. I highly recommend both books in this series!

very pleasantly surprised-- look no further

After about a decade of yoga at home I saw a photo of aerial yoga. searched for a good book on it and found there is not much out there, and reluctantly paid the price of this book. I found it be absolutely essential and extremely helpful. The first week or two of owning a yoga swing I tried to invent my own moves, which was fun, and watched some youtube videos, but still really didn't know how to adapt all of my "floor" poses to the swing.
This book was great for showing me how to adapt the poses to aerial and learn a lot of new moves. It also proceeds as a class would with introductory/basics first and very good pointers. The pointers are specific enough for a general yoga student-- you will recognize the language instantly from floor yoga books/classes.
you might want to google the offer as there is "another" buying option that is slightly less expensive.
In sum, this is a great volume. the author really knows what she is doing and writing....there are about 100 poses in this first volume. It will keep a beginner to intermediate yogi busy.... I was concerned it would not have enough info to justify the price but it does....
