Memories

This volume epitomises my mother. The volume contains many of the recipes that my mother cooked for our family. The only difference between the volume and my mother is that the volume uses measurements (Yeah!) and my mother used intuition (ugh!).
There are no images within the volume apart from a few outlined drawings.
However, the recipes are quite straitforward, full of goodness and flavours that you would expect from a traditional baking book and evoking memories of warmth, security, heavenly aromas, topped with lots of love. Why would you need coloured images?

Just right for St Patrick's Day

I liked this cookbook. The recipes were much like those my great-grandma made. What is really good is that the temperatures and amounts are written in all the commonly used measures so you can use or share them with friends and relatives around the world. There are no pictures but I don't miss them as everything is straightforward and easy to follow.

The book is hard to read electronically and keep track of your recipes. I don't think I will buy a cook buy cook book this way again as I like to make comments on each recipe I try
