This book is fabulous! In addition to giving you every possible detail about how to use a pressure cooker, it has so many mouthwatering recipes I hardly know where to begin! No, I do know--Greengrocer's Chili, a veggie chili that will be a go-to cold weather meal. And there are so many other great recipes, many for things you never knew you could cook in a pressure cooker. Don't worry, if pressure cookers aren't your thing, you can always make these recipes in your everyday pots and pans and just cook a little longer--easily adaptable!

Love it!

This book just arrived today and I've not had opportunity to cook from it yet. However, as a fan of Hensperger's prior work I can say this book doesn't disappoint. One whole section just devoted to chili! Lots of great ideas for flavorful soups and broths. The dessert section is so-so (no biggie to me since I'm not a big dessert person) but the rest of the book is packed full of information, details, new recipes and variations of favorites. I'll update after having a chance to actually make something. But from my hands on experience so far with using a pressure cooker, this book is right on.

So far, I'm really impressed with this book. I got a pressure cooker for xmas this year and have taken a number of PC cookbooks out of the library. This one is really comprehensive and has many many useful recipes. I think it'll be the "go-to reference" for pressure cooker cooks! I'm 150% happy with this purchase.

Save your money -- previously published stories.

These short stories were included in prior books (the printed versions, not just the e-version like another reviewer said). If I had realized that, I wouldn't have spent money on this. However, my daughter, who is a huge fan and for whom I bought this, was still pretty excited to get this book.

Greek meet Egyptian!

A fun crossover series of adventures as Percy Jackson and Annabeth Chase meet up with the Kane siblings to fight Egyptian/Greek crossover evils. The three short stories have been previously released as eBook only publications, but are now combined here in hardback format/dead tree format for the first time. If you already own the eBooks, there are still a few extras included. A one page letter from Percy explaining the set up. Plus samples from Sword of Summer, the first of the Norse Mythology series and the first few pages, a short chapter from the new, series where the Greek god Apollo has been turned into a human teen as punishment and turns to the demigods for help, including his buddy Percy.

An enjoyable addition to Rick Riordan's mythology in the modern world collection, but if you already own the eBooks, you many not want to spring for the pulp version.

Fans of either or both of the series will enjoy this book

I’m a big fan of the Percy Jackson series, so I jumped at the chance to read Demigods & Magicians, where Percy and Annabeth meet the Kane siblings. I don’t read the The Kane Chronicles, so I’m not as familiar with the characters. But the characters (especially Sadie) are fleshed out well.

Demigods & Magicians is comprised of three short stories. The first, is an adventure with the two boys as they meet while fighting a monstrous creature. The second story involves the two girls in a similar way. In the third story they all team up to take down the big baddie. Fans of either or both of the series will enjoy this book. The stories are exciting and humorous as the kids all get to know each other and the Egyptian magic versus the Greek demigod powers. It’s fast-paced and a fun, quick read.

I give this edition of Dickens A CHRISTMAS CAROL points for preserving the original text; however, Roberto Innocenti's illustrations are extra heavy on mob scenes -- apparently to give modern readers the feeling of teeming Victorian London -- and overly focused on the poverty and grotesqueness of the characters. To be sure, these were part of Dickens' message, but I don't relish them as holiday entertainment. Arthur Rackham's illustrations retain their charm and enchantment after well over a century, and a coffee-table-size edition of A CHRISTMAS CAROL with Rackham's drawings would be most welcome.

A lovely book and when I consider a piece of art

I have seen many books and the Christmas Carol but this one is well illustrated it's a hardcover copy book and it's simply a piece of art.

It is well written, The cover is beautiful the pages are glassy and lovely and very healthy hearty product I wasn't expecting it to be so great. This book was a Christmas gift and when he opened this book the look on his face was enough for me to know that he loved the book.

It will be definitely kept in the family and it would be passed on.

Especially if you're photographer love to shoot stars and night scene

I bought this calendar just a few weeks ago for 2016 and I'm already loving it in 2015!!

Especially if you're photographer love to shoot stars and night scene, this calendar is must to have I believe.
I am not photographer but I love to go camping, hike at night (full moon hike is must try! you don't need headlight!)
This calendar will not only show you moon phases but also show you all the cool events going on up in the sky such as meteor showers and Lunar eclipse and more!! So now I know when to plan a next trip to hike at full moon, or go camping at dark when there is no moon, or go to desert and take shooting star pictures!

And needless to say, each month it's got super cool pictures which I would never be able to shoot!! So beautiful!!
I wish I can go check out all the places in the pics!
This is the main reason I bought this. I am planning to keep each picture as month goes by since it's too beautiful to throw away after only one month. and I'm gonna go there! I don't know how long it will take to go all the places but definitely that's my near future plan.

I can't choose best picture but if I had to, I personally love December and November pictures the most since I am California resident. but again every month has super cool pics!!

Great book

I was born and raised in Germany, and this has always been one of my all time favorite books,
from one of my all time favorite authors. Being a twin, this story has always intrigued me, and
I was always grateful that my parents never divorced. I am now 60, and have lost both parents,
but this book will always be part of my history and my connection to my mom.

QC Might be nice

I don't usually write reviews for books, leaving that to others but i just had to say something. The questions and answer presented seem to be on target (hence the 3 rating and not a zero) but a little quality control would help. Specifically the "Notice" on page three for some other study guide. I quote "As new research and experience broaden our knowledge, changes in practice, treatment and drug therapy may become necessary or appropriate" Interesting Notice for a study guide for EMC SAN Storage certification. Didn't know there was any "drug therapy" available. Wonder if it's covered under my health plan??

Review for the Kindle Edition

Leibel and Philips has consistently been favored by radiation oncology residents as their textbook of choice for many reasons. That is not the goal of this review, however. I bought the kindle version of the textbook. I was absolutely shocked that the kindle version lacked countless figures and tables that are essential to the text. Instead of seeing the figures and tables in their proper place, this kindle book displays a copyright notice that this version of the book couldn't (or didn't???) obtain the rights to include the figure or table.

How Amazon even lists this kindle book as a buying option is absolutely beyond me. How is anyone supposed to learn from such an advanced level specialty text with countless missing figures and tables? There doesn't seem to be any notice on this fact either on the webpage either.

I believe I deserve to get my money back. But Amazon thinks this book is fine as it is. Unless you can mentally conjure up the missing figures and tables, save yourself $180 down the drain and buy the physical copy please.

So I was disappointed to find that the inkling version of this book ...

These days, I would never buy a book this size without access to an e-version. There's no way I'm going to be lugging this book everywhere during a residency program. So I was disappointed to find that the inkling version of this book is missing countless tables, pages etc. even pages as vital as staging of several cancers. I find this infuriating and it renders it quite useless to me. Had I known about this I certainly wouldn't have purchased it. If I were to give any advice, I'd say stick to Perez and Brady's. In terms of the information it contains, I can't speak to that as I've stopped using this book. It's now just library decor.
